Remix Session for Lady Gaga’s “Free Woman” Responding to a reporter’s question asking what single tip or piece of advice he would give to new music producers, Felder said he would urge new users, when they pick up their device, to take the time and explore all the new sounds. You can essentially remix these two tracks in any style you want by using the pieces the same way a remixer would. The sessions also include videos from both artists explaining the story behind the songs. These include Live Loops versions of each song, so you can break down and rearrange all the pieces and add new instrumentation and loops underneath, as well as make use of GarageBand’s eminently usable Filter and Repeater effects across the submix in real-time.

The new Remix Sessions and Producer Packs are available today as a free download from the Sound Library in GarageBand 2.3.11, the latest version of the app, for iOS and iPadOS.The app also now includes two Remix Sessions for Dua Lipa’s 2020 smash hit “Break My Heart” and Lady Gaga’s “Free Woman” from her 2020 Chromatica album. There is also the “Watch the Sound With Mark Ronson” Producer Pack that users can extend the viewing experience with by getting hands-on time with GarageBand versions of the music technology featured in every episode, from sampling to drum machines, synths to reverb, and vocal effects to distortion.
The Companion Experience of “Watch the Sound With Mark Ronson”, an Apple Original docuseries, explores the intersection of technology and musical innovation. There are also in-app videos featuring each producer offering words of encouragement to beginners, as well as insights into their creative process. Each Producer Pack comes with hundreds of royalty-free loops, beats, instruments, drum kits, synth patches, and samples.
